Just jumping aboard the low poly hype train, although I do need to fix my working relationship with Mental Ray as my beloved Arnold render is unlicensed and leaves me with watermarks now 😦
Made in Maya 2015, rendered with Solid Angle’s Arnold, just another quick one.
If you could doodle in 3D this would be the result, I found out how to make a toon shader glow! Exciting times.
Trying something a little different today, just a quick update.
I feel like there should be a little fanfare like when you win a battle in Final Fantasy haha but moving on… This is my grad film! I still can’t believe it’s all over, all the final tweaks are done and we made it into the degree show too 🙂 Feel free to check it out and leave me any feedback
Side film starts shooting this Saturday which is exciting, watch this space….
Caught up in post production at the moment ranging from re recording sound effects to some re lighting and animation but here’s the final teaser before the film…
Moments from disaster…
Below are a selection of unwraps from the film which are pretty cool to see the variety of objects within this project, all painted within Photoshop.
Also got another exciting film commission on the horizon which sees a return to 2D animation which will be fun I hope!
I can’t believe university is almost over! Been so busy with my final film I’ve neglected this blog a bit but I do have a few updates to share including a brand new showreel!
Check out my business cards below, can’t wait to start handing them out… I bought them from http://uk.moo.com/ I’d definitely recommend them.

I thought I’d post a mini update as rendering and last minute animation tweaks are consuming all my time at the moment. Here are a small selection of rendered pictures from some complete shots before although this is before any post production in After Effects and Photoshop.
I love Arnold’s physical sun so much.
